We visited Johnson Woods State Nature Preserve the day we dropped the boys off at Camp Arrowhead. The trail is not as long, but the trees are huge and beautiful. There are many plaques throughout the trail providing information about what you see in front of or around you. The entire trail is on a boardwalk so it is very accessible. The trees are incredibly large - see first picture.
